Copper Cadet

Friends, this is why ASAP exists – lifetime homes – for horses and people……sadly a phone call came this week that we did not want to hear – a dear friend and adopter who began his love affair with Standardbreds 22 years ago, called to say that he had an illness that will take his life. Sadly, his 31 year old Standardbred (who he adopted as a 9 year old off the track gelding) and 20 year old Standardbred gelding will have to be rehomed. Very emotional week as we work together to determine the future of Egyptian Fashion has found a home, but Copper Cadet is still available- if anyone is interested in giving these horses a home please contact us. Their adopter wanted the peace of knowing they will be provided for until the end. If a home cannot be found Copper will, of course, live out his days at the ASAP farm. Copper Cadet is  trained to ride – trails, shows, etc. Don’t let his age discourage you!

Victor is sound and healthy, but at the age where the Amish man no longer wanted to use him. He is 16 hands tall, trots, and is said to be a bit shy. We have only noted him to be curious, loving, and willing so far. located in the La Crosse area
